Removalists in Gladesville

Every move has two ends. We plan both before we lift a box: the lift booking and the clearway at one end, the steep drive and the narrow gate at the other.

Three crew sizes, one honest hourly rate each: $250, $350 or $500 an hour. No booking-channel discounts, no surprise line items.

The corridor

The unit move, done properly

Victoria Road and Wharf Road carry most of Gladesville's moves now: newer blocks, booked lifts, docks that fit some trucks and not others, and nowhere to stand a vehicle at eight in the morning. We book the lift, read the parking signs on your block, and time the load so the truck is legal the whole day.

  • Lift bookings and building move rules handled with you
  • Load timed around the clearway, not against it
  • Two movers and a truck at $250 an hour

The ridge

The house move, up the hill

Off the main road, Gladesville falls away to the river: brick houses on Batemans Road, Ashburn Place and the Cambridge Street pockets, steep drives, gates that have never met a two-seater sofa. The truck stands where it can and the crew is sized for the carry, not just the inventory.

  • Crew sized for the slope and the carry distance
  • Beds rebuilt and cartons roomed at the other end
  • Three movers and a truck at $350 an hour

How we work

The crossing plan

Gladesville has been a crossing point since the punt days, and a good move still works the same way: plan the crossing before you load the deck.

Both ends walked first

Where the truck stands, what the carry looks like, which lift or gate or stair is the pinch point. At both addresses, before the day.

The day timed honestly

Start time set around lift windows and clearway hours. You pay by the hour, so the plan exists to keep the hours short.

Loaded, crossed, set down

Wrapped, strapped and loaded in carry order. At the landing end, beds go up first and every carton lands in its room.

Rates

Three crews. One rate each.

Hourly, door to door. The same rate however you book, whatever day it is. The only decision is crew size, and we help you make it.

2 movers + 1 truck
$250/hr

Studios, 1-bed and most 2-bed units. The corridor workhorse.

3 movers + 1 truck
$350/hr

2 to 3-bed houses, steep carries, walk-ups. The extra pair of hands pays for itself.

4 movers + 2 trucks
$500/hr

Large homes and offices. Two trucks means one trip, not two.

What shortens the hours, what stretches them, and how the clock actually runs: how the hourly rate works.

The planner

Set up both ends of your move

The quote everyone fudges depends on two addresses, not one. Tell the planner what each end looks like: unit or house, lift or stairs, driveway or clearway, short carry or long. It drafts the day, lands on the right crew, and hands the whole thing to us so your callback starts halfway done.

Packing and materials

Kitchens wrapped properly, cartons labelled by room, done the day before so moving day moves.

Downsizing moves

Decades of household, reduced and moved with patience. A plan first, never a rushed day.

Small and part-load moves. One sofa across the suburb, a studio's worth to a storage unit. Ask for a small-move quote.

Office and shopfront moves. The Victoria Road strip included. Weekends preferred, downtime kept short. Tell us about the space.

Interstate and backload. Leaving Sydney altogether? We handle it. Send the details.

The name

The crossing crew

Punt Road runs down to Bedlam Point, where a cable punt carried whole households over the river's narrowest two hundred metres for fifty years before any bridge stood. Getting a household safely from one side to the other is the oldest job in this suburb. It's the only one we do.
