What a corridor move actually involves
A two-bedroom unit is rarely a big move. What makes it hard is everything around it: a lift that has to be booked and padded, a building manager with a form, a driveway shared with forty other residents, and a main road out front where a stopped truck collects a fine before it collects a sofa.
So we start there. Before your move we confirm the lift booking at both buildings, check whether there's a dock and whether our truck fits it, read the parking signs on your block, and set a start time that keeps the truck legal for the whole load. On the day, the crew walks in knowing the answers.
How the day runs
Lift padded and held
We arrive inside the booked window, hang the blankets, and keep the lift moving so the booking never runs out on us.
Staged at the door
Cartons stack in the hallway in trolley-sized batches. The lift never travels half empty and neither does anyone's back.
Truck loaded legally
The truck stands where it's allowed, when it's allowed. If the kerb is clearway-restricted we time the load around the window.
Landed by room
At the other end every carton lands in the room on its label, and the bed goes up before we leave.
The rate
Most Gladesville units move with 2 movers and 1 truck at $250 an hour. A larger unit, a walk-up, or a long lift-to-truck carry sometimes earns the third mover at $350 an hour, and when it does it's because the bigger crew finishes enough hours earlier to make the day cheaper, not dearer. We'll tell you which side of that line your move sits on when we call back.
The clock runs door to door and stops when the last carton is down. No booking-channel discounts, no weekend loading. The full mechanics: how the hourly rate works.
What to sort early
- The lift booking. Most buildings want notice in writing; popular weekends go fast.
- The move-out form. Some strata schemes ask for one at each end. Two buildings, two forms.
- The parking reality. Tell us your exact address and we'll read the signs before the day.
- The oversized piece. If it went in through a window, say so now, not at 3pm on the day.

Moving into or out of a unit?
Set up both ends in the planner, or go straight to the form. Either way we call you back with the day already half planned.
